Cherry Blossom Festival Activities "I
was honored to be selected by the Illinois State Society to represent
our wonderful state as a Cherry Blossom Princess in Washington , D.C.
and will always be thankful for the opportunity given to me. It not
only allowed for everyone to celebrate the friendship between the United
States and Japan, but it also allowed for me and everyone else involved
to form new friendships with members of various state societies, Congressional
members, foreign ambassadors and fellow princesses."

ISS Cherry Blossom Princess
"I had an amazing week, and I am so grateful to the Illinois State Society for this wonderful opportunituy. The Cherry Blossom Princess Program allowed me to meet accomplished women from all over the world. From visiting the Lithuanian Embassy for tea to helping with a relief project at the Japanese Ambassador's Residence to participating in festival traditions, such as the grand ball, parade, and lantern lighting ceremony, all of our activities offerd a unique opportunity to celebrate our international bonds of friendship and show our support for Japan in the face of such traumatic natural diasters. It was a truly extraordinary week."
